Colombia Finca El Portal


This coffee comes to us from Cafe Imports' Cauca Best Cup 2016 competition. Duvan Castillo lives on his 1.5 hectare farm in the township of El Carmen, located in Cauca's Sotara municipality, situated at 1,900 masl.

He harvested fully ripe cherries from his 7,000 Castillo, Colombia, and Caturra trees. Then they were depupled, fermented for 16-20 hours, washed, and placed in a parabolic dryer to finish the process.

In the cup, we get sweet and floral notes of meyer lemon, caramel, and toffee with a clean finish.
