Guatemala San Pedro La Laguna


La Laguna hails from the Atitlan region of Guatemala, and more specifically the growing region along the western side of Lake Atitlan. Most of the coffee comes from the Eliope cooperative, along with a variance of smaller producers in neighboring regions.

The unique characteristics belonging to Guatemalan coffees like the La Laguna, such as their clean sweetness and sparkling acidity, are due, in part, to the combination of rich volcanic soil, good elevation, an average rainfall of about 2,000mm, and a relatively cool average temperature. A majority of the coffee in Atitlan is cultivated along the volcanic slopes that surround Lake Atitlan.

This is a classic, well-balanced Guatemalan coffee that never seems to get old. In the cup, we get sweet and smooth notes of toffee, brown sugar, and milk chocolate.
