Ethiopia Yirgacheffe – Iwariti Project
Grown in the lush highlands surrounding Yirgacheffe, this lot captures the beauty and complexity that have made the region world-renowned. At elevations of 1,850–2,200 meters, smallholder farmers cultivate coffee under the shade of Birebera, Dokima, Besana, and Girawa trees, nurturing cherries that develop intense sweetness and layered fruit character.
Under the guidance of Senay Hailemariam, Project Site Manager and respected community leader, the team at the Idido Wet/Dry Station approaches each stage of processing with precision and care. Hailemariam’s steady leadership and commitment to integrity shape every aspect of the Iwariti Project—from farmer collaboration to meticulous drying practices.
The result is a vibrant and expressive natural-process coffee with notes of berry, stone fruit, jasmine, and chocolate—a cup that beautifully reflects both the terroir of Yirgacheffe and the people who bring it to life.
